OmniDoc Core Technology Analysis: Structure-Aware Reinforcement Learning Engine
Addressing the frequent layout collapse issues encountered by traditional machine translation systems when handling complex formatting, OmniDoc completely breaks the traditional "text extraction-translation-re-typesetting" pipeline. During the decoding stage of translation generation, the engine innovatively adopts an Actor-Critic reinforcement learning network based on Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO), achieving underlying alignment between layout topology and multilingual semantics.
In the optimization mechanism of OmniDoc, the global expected policy gradient update functional combines multilingual BLEU rewards with the deviation of layout geometric topology. Its native policy gradient formula is shown below:
